Turbinate surgery

The turbinates are structures that we all have in the nasal cavity, consisting of bone lined by mucosa.

In some patients the turbinates are too large and obstruct the nasal cavity, making it difficult to breathe through the nose. In these cases it is possible to reduce the size by surgery to correct turbinate obstruction.

This surgery is performed through the nares (nostrils), without external incisions. Usually only require admission to the day of surgery.
